Description

Delicious chocolate dessert tacos filled with whipped cream and fresh fruit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sliced kiwi
  • 1/2 cup diced mango
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Taco Shells:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
    • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth.
  2. Cook the Taco Shells:
    • Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
    • Pour a small amount of batter into the skillet, spreading it thinly to form a circle.
    • Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until the shell is firm and cooked through.
    • While still warm, shape the cooked shell over a rolling pin or taco mold to form a taco shape. Let cool completely.
  3. Assemble the Tacos:
    • Fill each chocolate taco shell with whipped cream.
    • Top with slices of strawberries, kiwi, and mango.
    • Drizzle chocolate sauce over the fruit.

Notes

  • Make sure the pan is not too hot to avoid burning the taco shells. Adjust the temperature as needed.
  • Allow the shells to cool over the mold until set, so they hold their shape.
  • Experiment with other fruits like raspberries or bananas for variation.
  • Use store-bought whipped cream to save time, or make your own for a fresher taste.
  • For extra richness, consider dusting the shells with powdered sugar before filling.
