Description

A delicious and towering burger that combines all your pizza favorites!


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package pepperoni slices
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large pizza bases or buns
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chopped scallions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Burger Patties:
    • Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat.
    • Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 8 patties.
    • Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach desired doneness.
  2. Sauté Onions:
    • In a skillet, add olive oil and sauté the sliced onions until caramelized. Set aside.
  3. Build the Tower:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Place a pizza base or bun at the bottom.
    • Spread a tablespoon of marinara sauce on the base.
    • Place a cooked patty, followed by sautéed onions, mozzarella, cheddar, and pepperoni.
    • Repeat layering with remaining ingredients and bases/slices until all are used.
    • Top with extra cheese and pepperoni for the final layer.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the assembled tower on a baking tray.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  5. Garnish:
    • Carefully remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    • Garnish with chopped scallions.

  • For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning or garlic powder to the ground beef.
  • Use a mix of mozzarella and cheddar for a balanced cheesy flavor.
  • Allow the tower to rest for a few minutes after baking to make slicing easier.
