Description

A delicious and savory Mexican Beef Crescent Ring perfect for gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, avocado, additional cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season: Add the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water to the beef. Stir and cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Prepare Dough: On a baking sheet, arrange the crescent roll dough in a circular shape, overlapping the triangles with points facing outward.
  5. Fill: Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the crescent rolls. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  6. Wrap: Fold the pointed ends of the triangles over the beef mixture and tuck under.
  7. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  8. Garnish: Remove from oven and top with salsa, black olives, tomatoes, onion, and cilantro.
  9. Serve: Cut into slices and serve with sour cream and optional toppings if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure the beef is fully cooked before adding the seasoning for best flavor.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add a spicy kick with chopped jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • Make ahead: Prepare the beef mixture and dough separately, then assemble and bake when needed.
  • For extra creaminess, mix some cream cheese with the beef before adding the seasoning.
