Description

A delicious appetizer featuring toasted baguette slices topped with goat cheese, fresh pears, and honey.


Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette (sliced into 1/2-inch rounds)
  • 8 oz goat cheese (softened)
  • 2 ripe pears (sliced thinly)
  • to taste Salt
  • as needed Honey (for drizzling)
  • as needed Olive oil (for brushing)
  • as needed Fresh thyme or rosemary (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lay the sliced baguette rounds on a baking sheet and lightly coat each side with olive oil.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast for about 5-8 minutes or until the bread turns golden brown and crispy.
  4. Once toasted, remove the baguette slices from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Spread a generous layer of softened goat cheese on each crostini.
  6. Top each crostini with a slice of fresh pear.
  7. Drizzle a small amount of honey over the pears.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature.
