Description

Enjoy your delicious Rich Chocolate Coconut Brownies!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper.

  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chopped dark chocolate together until smooth. Remove from heat.

  3. Stir in the granulated sugar until fully combined.

  4. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  5. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture.

  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  7. In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and shredded coconut until fully mixed.

  8. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.

  9. Spoon the coconut mixture over the first brownie layer.

  10. Carefully spread the remaining brownie batter over the coconut mixture, smoothing the top.

  11. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  12. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the dish before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Ensure the coconut layer is evenly spread to prevent any unevenness in the texture.
  • For an extra-rich flavor, add a pinch of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely for cleaner cuts.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
