Description

  • 24 pieces cocktail sausages
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Mustard (for garnish)
  • Ketchup or sauce (for dipping)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Pastry: Thaw the puff pastry sheets according to package instructions if frozen. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry sheets to smooth any creases.
  3. Cut the Pastry: Cut each pastry sheet into strips, approximately 1 inch wide and 3 inches long.
  4. Wrap the Sausages: Take one strip of pastry and wrap it around each cocktail sausage, securing the ends by pressing gently.
  5. Egg Wash: Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each pastry bite with the beaten egg to ensure a golden finish.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Add a small drop of mustard on top of each pastry bite for garnish. Arrange on a platter with a small bowl of ketchup or your preferred dipping sauce. Garnish the platter with fresh parsley if desired.
