Description

Delicious shrimp tacos topped with a fresh cabbage slaw.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 8 small tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (for slaw)
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp with smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, olive oil, and lime juice. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix shredded cabbage with Greek yogurt or sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, hot sauce, and chopped cilantro. Refrigerate while preparing the shrimp.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft.
  5. Assemble tacos by layering slaw, adding shrimp, and topping with extra cilantro and lime juice. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Can be served with additional lime wedges on the side.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce based on your spice preference.
