Ingredients

  • 12 large fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 pieces mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
  • small amount white icing or frosting (for hat and buttons)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:
    • Wash the strawberries and pat them dry with a paper towel.
    • Slice the leafy end off each strawberry so they stand upright.
  2. Make the Whipped Cream:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
    • Use an electric mixer to whip the mixture until stiff peaks form.
  3. Assemble the Santas:
    • Cut a small portion off the pointed end of each strawberry (this will be used as the Santa hat).
    • Pipe or spoon a small dollop of whipped cream onto the top of each strawberry base.
    • Place the reserved strawberry tops back on, leaving a space for the face, to resemble Santa’s hat.
  4. Decorate the Faces:
    • Place two mini chocolate chips on the whipped cream for Santa’s eyes.
    • Use a small amount of white icing to add a pom-pom to the top of the hats and buttons down the front.
