Description

This perfect quinoa recipe is easy to make and versatile for any dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry quinoa (any color)
  • 1 ¾ cups water or vegetable broth
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • Optional toppings: ground pepper, olive oil, fresh herbs, etc.

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain quinoa in a fine mesh strainer.
  2. Place quinoa, water, and salt into a medium saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat to simmer, cover, and let cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat after 15 minutes and let sit covered for about 5 minutes to let it soak up any remaining liquid.
  5. Remove lid and fluff with a fork, then transfer quinoa to a large bowl to cool.
  6. Add toppings before serving or use in any recipes that call for cooked quinoa.
