Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup protein powder (vanilla or strawberry flavor)
- ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup almond butter (or any nut butter)
- ½ cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup crushed graham crackers (for topping, optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until evenly combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, about one inch in diameter.
- Place the protein balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This step makes the balls easier to handle.
- If desired, roll each ball in crushed graham crackers for added texture and flavor.
- Once chilled, keep the protein balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
- These protein balls can be customized with different nut butters or flavors of protein powder.
- For a dairy-free option, substitute cream cheese with a plant-based cream cheese alternative.
